Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia currently has an excellent inventory of properties on the market. The good news for buyers is that prices have stayed relatively flat and interest rates are still very good, whether for a weekend/vacation retreat or as a full-time residence SML has unlimited possibilities in just about every price range.
One word can be used to describe what some buyers visiting the area feel and that is OVERWHELMED. With over 500 miles of shoreline and 22,000 acres of water, Smith Mountain Lake has so much to offer in terms of property types. Everything from small cottages to townhomes, vacant lots (with or without a dock) all the way up to 7,000 square foot estates I’d like to think that there is something for everyone here at the lake.
With the many neighborhoods and communities to choose from it’s no wonder that buyers have a hard time deciding what place to call home, or at least a vacation home.
