The Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce has designated July 13th thru 16th as Pirate Weekend, a community event chock full of pirate-themed adventures.
New this year is the Pirate Ball, taking place at Mango’s Bar and Grill on Thursday, July 13th. There are a limited number of tickets to this event.
Back by popular demand is the controlled battle between Bay Rock’s Revenge and the Capt. Party Pirate Ship on Saturday, July 15th at Jake’s Place. The event includes a pirate lunch, water balloon fight, and a costume contest. A “Battle of the Brews” is scheduled to take place after dark.
Many area businesses will be participating, and visitors are encouraged to stop by local shops, marinas, and restaurants to take advantage of special pricing, incentives, and gifts. A full list of participants can be found at the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce’s website.
