As we revel in the final stretch of the summer season, residents and guests of Smith Mountain Lake shift their focus to the area’s most anticipated event, the Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd thru Sunday, September 24th and will feature 29 Virginia wineries and 85 food and craft vendors. This year’s entertainment will be provided by Barefoot West and Fuzzy Logic on Saturday and Hip Pocket Band on Sunday.
The Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival will be held at Crazy Horse Marina in Moneta. This will be the second year at this location, which allowed the event to be held by the water. This year also marks the return of the SML Beer Garden, featuring local favorites from Chaos Mountain and Sunken City.
Advance tickets can be purchased at VisitSmithMountainLake.com or at sponsor locations, including Kroger, the Bedford Visitor Center, The SML Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Franklin County Chamber Branch in Rocky Mount. Advance tickets are $25 for tasters and $15 for non-tasters.
