The buzz around the lake is all about the grand reopening of the Crazy Horse Marina. Located in Moneta the marina is a favorite hang out for visitors as well as residents of Smith Mountain Lake.
Originally built back in 1986 the marina was in need of repair and luckily the new owners saw the diamond in the rough and have been contracting major renovations in order to get ready for the busy summer season. McDonnell Golf Marina Properties recently acquired the marina back in March and have been working hard on getting it up to par.
Crazy Horse offers 24/7 access to the fuel dock and additionally offers over 100 covered and uncovered boat slips that can accommodate boats from large to small, hoist slips are also available. The Ships Store summer hours are 9 am to 5pm Sunday through Thursday and from 9am to 7pm on Friday and Saturday.
Mexican Food Lakeside
Mexico Viejo allows you to enjoy a terrific Mexican dining experience. Known for their refreshing margaritas, outdoor tequila bar and fresh guacamole prepared tableside you won’t go away hungry (or thirsty). The newly expanded patio seating area provides wonderful lake views.
