Summer just started and we are already thinking about the fall. Don’t get us wrong, we’re grateful for the bright sunny days and warm weather, but in September, we can go to the Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival. (Now you’re excited for the fall too!) Listen to music and indulge in food and drink while you surround yourself with the sweet sounds of live music and the company of great friends.

What’s So Great About Wine?

There are lots of health benefits of drinking wine. Moderate consumption aids in everything from improving brain activity to reducing the risks of heart attack and type 2 diabetes. Other health benefits that top the list include reduced risk of cataracts, stroke, and colon cancer. Remember, however, moderate consumption means two to four ounces a day, so always consume responsibly to get the most out of your wine.

The health benefits are a great reason to indulge in a little wine, but let’s not forget, wine tastes delicious too.
